Terms & ConditionsAcceptance When you place an order through this website you are agreeing to abide by our full Terms & Conditions. Security In order to maximise your security your credit card details are encrypted when they leave your computer and the exercise is not reversed until they reach us. In this way if anyone should intercept your order they would be unable to read the details. By giving us a landline telephone number (which is traceable) we can also make checks to ensure that our customers match their credit cards, thereby protecting you and your money. For further information see Your Privacy Your Security Privacy Under no circumstances will we divulge your telephone numbers or email address to anyone else. These are solely for our own use. However, we may occasionally allow another company to send you information that we think might interest you. If you would prefer not to be included in this, please email us at info@surlapiste.co.uk with your name and address and in the subject box please type Exit General Mailing List. We voluntarily comply with the provisions, principles and obligations of the Data Protection Act 1998 and as such we keep your information in the strictest confidence. In order to comply with this, we will ask you for some form of identification before divulging information about yourself. If a written reply to a request for information is required there will be a charge of £10.00. For further information see Your Privacy Your Security Deliveries Standard delivery is usually within 3 working days, subject to stock, and you should always receive standard orders within 5 working days. (UK Customers only) However, if an item is out of stock we will let you know when to expect it. For further information see Deliveries (UK Customers only). Unless Sur la Piste are informed otherwise or it is agreed otherwise, it will be assumed that all orders sent by Royal Mail have been received by the purchaser within 14 days of date of sending, as shown by the relevant proof of posting certificate, unless otherwise notified. Deliveries made by courier are assumed to have been received by the purchaser when delivered and signed for at the delivery address given when the order was placed. Any non-deliveries must be notified within 28 days of order. We cannot be held responsible for any non-delivery notified outside this timescale. Returns
If you would like to return an item
you must notify us within 7 days of receipt and please return the item with
all the original labelling and in its original packaging. You will either
receive a refund of the balance payable or credited. We are unable to accept
returns under any other conditions, except at our own discretion. If we choose
to accept a return under other circumstances, a re-stocking charge of 20%
(twenty percent) of the cost of the item will be levied, and a further carriage
charge made for an exchange. Please ensure that you request a Proof of Posting certificate from
the Post Office and keep this safely. If a parcel is lost in transit we will need some proof
of the attempted return. Insurance is the responsibility
of the sender, we cannot be held responsible for returns mislaid by either the Post Office
or the buyer's delivery agents. It is therefore advisable to send returns by recorded
delivery or requiring a signature on delivery. The cost of the return is the responsibility
of the customer and not refundable by Sur la Piste. Payment We accept payment either by credit or debit card (visa, mastercard, American express, solo, delta and switch) or cheque. Overseas customers please note that you will be charged in £sterling (GBP), but the amount of your purchase will appear in your local currency on your statement. All goods remain the property of Sur la Piste until payment is received in full. Contract Sur la Piste has every intention of fulfilling the order you place whether through this website, by telephone or mail order. However, unless we have accepted payment and you have received confirmation from us that we will definitely supply the items you have ordered we have not entered into a contract with you and we are under no obligation to fulfil the order. We will do everything in our power to rectify the situation for you as justly and quickly as it is practically possible. Complaints must be made within 7 days of the problem arising. Other Sites Sur la Piste does not in any way guarantee the authenticity of any of the sites to which we provide links, and is in no way responsible for their content. Our Site Although we endeavour to ensure that this website is in full working order, we reserve the right not to fulfil an order, even if payment had been received, if as the result of a problem of the site or our own computer facilities we are unable to receive the order. In such circumstances when an order had been payed for, a full refund would be payable to the customer. Every effort is made to provide accurate information about the clothing, but if there is any specific detail that is required, it is advisable to email us at info@surlapiste.com and check with our sales staff, because we cannot accept responsibility for errors in the descriptions provided. Competitions We are not liable for the authencity of any competitions shown on our website that are managed by any other company, and any concerns must be addressed directly to those companies. The competition currently being run by Mutual Points ends on 31st May 2007. By agreeing to enter the competition you agree to receive regular email correspondence from RewardMail and agree that you will accept their Terms and Conditions a copy of which is available here
SUR LA PISTE’s total
liability for any claim howsoever arising shall not exceed the value of goods
supplied by SUR LA PISTE to the customer. SUR LA PISTE shall not be liable
for any consequential customer loss whether this arises from a breach of
duty in contract or in any other way. SUR LA PISTE cannot accept any liability
for a failure to comply with specific instructions stated in the garment
or in the brochure, and in particular we do not guarantee clothing that has
been washed in an optical brightener as this will result in a loss of colour
over time. Customers’ statutory rights are not affected by this statement.
TRADE DESCRIPTIONS: Every care has been taken to ensure that the description
and specifications are correct at the time of going to press. However, while
the colour reproduction is a close representation, a variation in actual
goods may occur. VALUE ADDED TAX: VAT is not generally payable on
children’s clothing in the UK and we are supplying our customers, on
trust, assuming that items bought are intended for children. However, there
are some items that may be subject to VAT @ 17.5% as advised by the Inland
Revenue, but this amount will be included in the price. |
